An Oakland native, Matthew D. Haley joined his father J. Frederick “Doc” Haley’s law practice in 1982, where together they built a thriving and respected practice representing clients in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, and medical negligence claims.
Matthew Haley is a graduate of UCLA and received his law degree in 1982 from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in law school, he worked for the San Francisco insurance defense firm of Lynch and Loofbourrow, and clerked in the Law and Motion Department of the San Francisco Superior Court for the Honorable Ira A. Brown, Jr.
Matt has developed a reputation as a skilled litigator and is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating available. He is also certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Consumer Attorneys of California, the Alameda County Bar Association and the Alameda-Contra Costa County Trial Lawyers Association. Matthew is also proud to be an Associate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
He is admitted to practice in all of the state and federal courts in California.
